Stephanie Roman

Associate

Stephanie focuses her practice in the area of insurance. She represents insurers in coverage disputes and insurance litigation, from pre-suit matters through the litigation process in federal and state courts. She has extensive experience in handling all aspects of legal proceedings, including pleadings and motion practice, discovery, alternative dispute resolution, depositions, court hearings, and trial preparation. Prior to joining the firm, Stephanie honed her litigation skills at a large Florida-based law firm, where she represented insurance carriers in property coverage litigation from inception to resolution.

After earning her B.S. in International Affairs from the Florida State University, Stephanie graduated magna cum laude from St. Thomas University School of Law. During law school, Stephanie excelled as a member of the St. Thomas Law Trial Team, successfully competing in regional and national competitions, and earning the prestigious Order of the Barristers Award. Additionally, Stephanie served as a judicial intern to the Honorable William Altfield of Florida’s Eleventh Judicial Circuit, assisting in legal research on substantive and procedural issues, and in preparing a presentation on recent and developing case law pertaining to technology and the Fourth Amendment for the 2018 Annual Judicial Conference.

Stephanie is Fluent in English and Spanish.
